Secret #2: Food Is Not The Enemy

When it comes to losing weight…

Food is not the enemy!

It’s necessary. It gives you energy. Your body needs it to function.

Yet so many people blame food for their weight loss failures.

But it isn’t food that’s the problem. It’s the fact that people are eating the wrong foods at the wrong times.

There are certain principles they fail to follow. It’s not their fault, they just don’t know better… but this lack of knowledge is keeping them from their dream bodies.

So if you want to get slim and sexy, pay attention to these simple truths…

Eat small meals every few hours.

See, your body needs to be constantly nourished. In order to function optimally, it requires a constant stream of nutrients.

When you go long periods of time without food, your body starts to panic. It goes into starvation mode and clings to all of the nutrients it has.

In other words… it slows down your metabolism!

So to keep this from happening, you need to eat often. You should be eating 5-6 small balanced meals that are regularly spaced out throughout the day.

You want to be eating protein at all these meals to keep your metabolism moving along at its full capacity.

But knowing when to eat is only half the puzzle…

You also need to know what to eat (and what not to eat).

So let’s talk about the elephant in the room…

The one topic that so many weight loss hopefuls find confusing…

I’m talking about carbs!

They’re not the evil some self-proclaimed experts say they are.

When eaten at the right times, carbohydrates can be a great source of energy. But you need to make sure you use that energy, otherwise the excess is stored as fat.

That’s why…

You should eat all your carbs earlier in the day!

I’m talking breakfast and lunch. Early enough so that they’re used for energy to get you through the rest of the day.

Energy you can use at work… and during your fat-blasting workouts (which is one of the secrets coming up).

But there’s one other thing you need to know about carbs that is so important…

All carbs aren’t created equal.

It’s not enough to just eat them at the right times…

You also need to eat the right kinds.

You want to avoid the simple carbohydrates…

These are the sugars… the candy… the sodas… and anything made with white flour (white rice, white bread, etc)

These carbohydrates are digested too rapidly by your body, which activates fat storage.

You want to stick to complex carbs… which are digested at a slower pace, and provide longer lasting energy.
